Job Description:

Description: The Business Intelligence Architect Team Lead is responsible for leading the team and architecting the development of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse in support of the overall JPS reporting strategy; including overall responsibility for the design, build, and testing of Epic reporting workbench, clarity and enterprise data warehouse (EDW) reports, and providing the overall guidance and structure for creating and maintaining data solutions at JPS. The Analytics and Reporting Architect Team Lead is responsible for leading team in establishing and maintaining a cohesive data architecture strategy for internal and external data. This role is also responsible for leading their team working with internal customers to manage work load, resources, set priorities and partner with them to provide strategic direction and optimization of assigned data needs. They bring best practice from industry resources and vendors. In addition, they support and enhance assigned data architecture providing leadership to Business Intelligence Analysts, data scientists and customers.

Typical Duties:

* Serves as a lead for the development and execution of the EMR Business Intelligence strategy, leading and coordinating data architecture strategy and ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
* Constantly reviews and analyses current state Business Intelligence reporting environment and architecture to industry standards like Hadoop, data warehouse, data marts, Microsoft Power BI, Big data to keep JPS team on leading edge and embrace new technologies and tools.
* Leads and manages team members with architecture and design of reports/dashboards from Data Warehouse and Clarity Database including statistical, predictive analytics, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning.
* Monitors and manages Analytics Databases/ Data Warehouse/ETL/Dashbaord Tools/ Infrastructure related project tasks including project plans, training and testing plans; participates in integrated testing; provide weekly project progress report to management.
* Coordinates input from all Epic teams related to reporting needs and availability of data for reporting and dashboards including from Reporting Workbench, Slicer Dicer, and Radar.
* Defines process to identify the Business Intelligence reporting data source based on the request type: Epic Workbench, Clarity, Data Warehouse, or other tools.
* Develops Business Intelligence architecture documentation for the management and executive teams. Designs conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts
* Oversees the identification and resolution of Business Intelligence reporting related issues, and facilitate appropriate escalation of issues for timely resolution.
* Ensures completion and high quality of deliverables assigned to the team including but not limited to design documentation, build audits, testing plans and scripts, and activation plans.
* Ensure the team is coding to standards in developing stored procedures, database triggers, complex SQL queries and TSQL programming
* Contributes to development of the project, training and testing plan; participate in integrated testing.
* Ensures completion and high quality of deliverables assigned to the team including but not limited to design documentation, build audits, testing plans and scripts, and activation plans.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's Degree from a 4 year College or University or equivalent experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree
* 3 plus years of Epic implementation experience.
* One plus years of Architecture experience
* 8 plus years of experience working as a Senior Developer/System Administrator with strong relational database SQL/T-SQL skills
* 5 plus years of Health Care experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
* Clarity Data Model or Caboodle Data Warehouse Certification
