Job Description

Our client in Florham Park, NJ has an immediate opening for a Business Intelligence Analyst for a 3 month contract assignment.

Need minimum of 5-10 years of hands on BI Dashboard developing and data modeling.

Essential job functions:

* Leverage advanced technology, and analytical tools like Tableau, Alteryx, Domo specific to financial analytics to drive strategic benefits in the areas of financial quality, efficiency and value.
* Translate business requirements and concerns into specific quantitative questions that can be answered with available data using sound methodologies.
* Perform exploratory data analysis and data visualizations to help analyze massive data sets to deliver smaller subsets of high-value data for the business finance team to evaluate and improve the value of business insights.
* Take ownership of the various components of Data Analytics Life cycle: Data Wrangling, Feature Engineering, Data Visualization (discovery), Delivering.
* Work with RDBMS technology, SQL (MS SQL, Alteryx, Azure) and knowledge of BI related principles such as ETL, data modeling, and data warehousing.
* Filter, clean, and locate human and technical errors in large data sets and assist in automating reporting for transparency and communication across the organization.
* Solve data gathering and preparation problems for the company for building a long-term sustainable Business Intelligence environment in the company.

Additional Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:

* Perform algorithmic modeling for data optimization while working and supporting the decision-making team to understand and quantify upcoming risks.
* Integrate with external data sources and APIs to discover trends and patterns to predict a sustainable decision-making approach for the general managers.
* Design rich data visualizations in Tableau with advanced charts and calculations/code to communicate complex ideas to internal and external teams.
* Mentor team members to follow an analytical approach and assist them in technical queries and understanding the current workflows and methodologies in business finance.
* Assist in driving the analytics strategy at an industry level, including identifying industry-specific analytics opportunities, communicate with C-Suite directly and driving adoption of analytics within the company.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously with deadlines and manage changing priorities with minimal supervision and intervention.
* Deliver complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise and actionable manner to both technical and non-technical audiences with a desire to work in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment with the ability to interact across various teams.
* Work with C-Suite throughout the organization to gather business requirements and identify opportunities for leveraging company data to find trends to help make important decisions.
* Assist with multiple projects and adjust to rapidly changing priorities. Focus on, and be able to balance project timeliness, while maintaining overall quality across multiple projects and consultations.
