Please Note: This position may be filled at either the Business Info Developer Consultant or Business Info Developer Consultant Sr. level. Manager will determine level based upon the selected applicant's skill-set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Business Information Developer Consultant:

Responsible for developing and executing more complex queries and provider data mining analyses. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

* Determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions.
* Performs modeling of information sources and flows.
* May coordinate the activities of a project team and monitors project schedules and costs for own projects.
* Develops strategic report applications from the Data Warehouse.
* Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.
* Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.
* Conducts training on use of applications developed.

Business Information Developer Consultant Senior:

Viewed as an expert in the development and execution of data mining analyses. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

* Undertakes complex assignments requiring additional specialized technical knowledge.
* Develops very complex and varied strategic report applications from EDward Warehouse.
* Establishes and communicates common goal and direction for team.
* Establishes and maintains advanced knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, and data integrity issues.
* Acts as a source of direction, training and guidance for less experienced staff.
* Monitors project schedules and costs for own and other projects.
* Develops and supports very complex Data Warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.
* Conducts training on use of applications developed.

Qualifications

* Requires a BS/BA degree;4- 6 years experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
* Expert level PC, spreadsheet, and database skills, as well as experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query.
* Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization languages is also required.
* Build and run complex queries against the EDWard data warehouse to pull medical (facility and professional), pharmacy, dental, vision claims and provider data using Teradata SQL Assistant and SAS.
* SQL Server knowledge and expertise required
* Solid working knowledge and subject matter expertise with EDWard tables, view, etc., is required.
* Proficient knowledge of SQL fundamentals, SQL Advanced querying, and Teradata SQL assistant required.
* Ability to perform QAQC of SQL and SAS scripts required.
* Proficient in SAS, and experience with other programming query languages required.
* Proficient with Java Scripting required.
* Proficient in Access and Excel including pivot tables required.
* Working knowledge of Hadoop, GBD Facets, WGS, Nasco, FEP and other sources preferred.
* Ability to efficiently manipulate large volume of data required.
* Proficient in mining data to identify outliers for Fraud Waste and Abuse; ability to present findings to the business partners via PowerPoint presentation.
* Proficient in completing complex data mining functions, statistical sampling (RatsStats), statistical analysis of data, metrics and identification of aberrancies, and outliers.
* Proficient in conducting research, identification of issues, UAT testing, and issue resolution process.
* Proficient in Project Management using Agile methodology required for Transformation Initiatives.
* Proficient in design and management of SharePoint including set up of forms, workflows, notifications, dashboards, metrics, etc. required.
* Proficient in Visio workflows development and management required.
* Proficient in JIRA (Scrum) set up, management and issues resolution process required.
* Ability to mentor other developers within the team and sharing best practices from coding perspective.
* Strong organizational, analytical, communication and independent problem solving skills required.
* Healthcare and claims processing knowledge and expertise preferred.
