Job Description

Clarks is seeking an accomplished Retail IT expert to join our team and contribute to the strategic direction and support of Retail Merchandising, Retail Store Systems and Multi-Channel Environments.

You should

* Have a keen interest in technology and how it could benefit our rapidly changing environment.
* Be technically and commercially minded; with many years of Retail sector experience.
* As part of a dedicated team, played a significant role in a wide variety of strategic projects, improvement activities and day-to-day support of Store systems.
* Familiarity of cross geography working, we have additional Retail Store Systems teams in UK and China.

Responsibilities:

* Confidently communicate (verbal and written) with Business & IT stakeholders, external parties and other IT functions on the progress of support and projects.
* Validate requirements and defects as well as troubleshooting and identifying appropriate remedies and/or improvements.
* Drive continuous improvement from IT, Business and Suppliers.
* Utilize standard internal policies and procedures.
* Deliver/Contribute to Projects, Path to Production Releases and Operational Support.
* Have experience in collaborating and coordinating deliverables with geographically distributed technical teams.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree
* 3 or more years Oracle Retail Xstore Suite 6.5 experience
* Good operational knowledge of Oracle Databases
* Good comprehension of Payment types, devices and compliance
* Strong Config/Build/Integration knowledge of Windows Server and Client operating systems
* Project co-ordination skills
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
* Ability to lead and align the team direction with business requirements including communication with key business stakeholders at all levels.
* Troubleshoot and remedy production interruptions of service across the retail systems portfolio
* Functional and system testing, preferably testing point of sale systems or client/server applications on Windows platforms.
* Knowledge of SDLC / STLC phases.
* HTTP (e.g. Jetty and Apache)
* Programming Languages (e.g. Java, Windows Scripting)
