Position Purpose

Our organization is presently seeking a Business Applications Analyst to join our IT team. This position is responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of market-specific business applications adhering to JTI global standards, partnering with the business, vendors and internal IT service providers, leveraging innovation and maximize IT contribution to support market's growth and profitability objectives. This position ensures IT solutions (Applications, e-Commerce platforms, mobile Apps, software) meet business objective, provides guidance on all business application related issues and initiatives, manages service level of applications, application design, security and architecture, leads the project planning and execution, user training and adoption of systems, and implements process improvements. This role will be responsible for optimizing and adapting the end to end solutions in partnership with various business functions such marketing and sales, finance, supply chain, legal, corporate affairs, people & culture, etc.

This position is based in our Teaneck, NJ Office.

Responsibilities and Requirements

* Project Management - Manage end-to-end delivery of local projects as assigned, ensuring that projects are planned and executed in line with business objective and within established global IT standards, best practices and on-time delivery. Develop scope, timeline, cost, business case and risks on local projects. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on major projects. Apply strong project management principles and ensure adherence to JTI's Project Management Framework.
* Business Partnership - Develop strong relationship with respective business partners and IT user community. Work closely with business partners to gather and refine requirements and create functional specifications for the development/technical team. Apply business and IT know-how to ensure that IT applications support the business requirements. Manage business expectations and maintain open communication.
* Business Applications Delivery - Execute the implementation of global BTS, GDC & GTC initiatives in USA market, as needed. Actively promote and support global projects (i.e. deployment of new technologies, implementation of global processes and policies, deployment of global business applications, ensuring GRM alignment, etc.). Assist in analyzing all new local requests and communicate with Global teams and other local IT teams to take a global approach to new projects wherever possible.
* Application Support, Security and Recovery - View and monitor all support incidents, manage vendor services, serve as liaison between users, vendors and global & local technical groups to resolve issues. Regularly review resolution times for incidents, changes and requests. Develop plan for improvement and lead action plan to address issue. Liaise with IT security team on performing security assessment and hardening of applications. Collaborate with various technical teams to develop disaster recovery plan for applications in line with recovery objectives established by the business. Ensure disaster recover tests are conducted as per plan.
* Management of Service Providers - Build strong relationship with internal IT service providers (BTS, GDC, GTC) and collaborate with them to successfully deliver required IT services. Assist in the evaluation and selection of qualified third-party service providers, in accordance with Operating Guidelines, JTI Policies and Procedures, and J-Sox controls. Work closely with 3rd-party service providers, ensuring timely fulfillment of commitments and contractual obligations.

Qualifications and Experience

* 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing IT projects end to end from business requirements to delivery and deployment
* Experience partnering with the business to fully understand the end to end business processes
* Experience with enterprise applications such as SAP, CRM - Oracle, business intelligence, e-Commerce, digital marketing, EDI etc.
* Solid working knowledge of: Project management standards and methodology, Application development standards and methodology (Waterfall, Agile), Microsoft application development technologies and cloud solutions
* Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio

Functional Skills

Strong business requirement analysis and project management skills with business acumen to build strong business partnerships.
