About The Job

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. This position is responsible for the identification, documentation, management and communication of scope and requirements for multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, generate and capture requirements, track and resolve project issues, track project financials and create and manage user stories.

Specifically, you'll do the following:

* Works with management and users to define, develop and implement innovative business solutions
* Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis
* Reviews, analyzes and creates detailed documentation of business systems and user needs, including workflow, program functions and steps required to develop or modify applications
* Reviews use cases and other technical documents with IT project staff, Project Manager & IT management to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in technical planning documents
* Defines, develops and implements quality assurance practices and procedures, end user test plans and other QA assessments
* Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
* Coordinates QA/user testing and training including the subsequent change control scheduling and documentation for production releases of software
* Works with the department and IT to conduct testing to meet project timelines
* Proactively assists with the identification of training and development requirements of the department and works with department heads and other personnel to design and implement training and development initiatives that will continuously upgrade the skills and capabilities of personnel within each department

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
* 3 years of IT related experience
* 3 years of Agile and Rally experience
* Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, Access)
* Experience gathering and documenting complex system requirements, writing technical specifications, developing detailed system diagrams and authoring meeting minutes
* Experience in analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering and user story development
* Experience delivering in-house and externally-developed applications
* Understanding of failover, disaster recovery and mirroring concepts and experience delivering mission-critical applications in a high-availability environment
* Understand basic Project Management principles and Quality Assurance testing
* Knowledge of Cobol and IT development cycle
* Strong organization and planning skills
* Strong analytical, estimating and problem solving skills
* Experience in client facing role
* Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts and rapidly changing circumstances
* Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
* SCEPTRE and airline supply chain knowledge is a must

Preferred Qualifications

* 5+ years of IT related experience
* CSM and SAFE certification
* Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
* Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration and negotiation skills
* Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
