Business Analyst - IT (PSS)

The role of the IT-Business Analyst is to work collaboratively with cross functional teams comprised of business and technology stakeholders as well as the PSS (Passenger Service Systems) solution architects to define and document requirements and to design solutions for the PSS Platform. This analyst will support our modernization strategy by helping to define and design our future-state capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Interface
Maintain effective working relationships with business and technical stakeholders
Partner with business stakeholders to understand the business needs and to document business requirements
Collaborate with technology stakeholders to document detailed functional/technical requirements that facilitate the design and development of solutions
Delivery / Support
Leads ongoing reviews of business processes and develops optimization strategies
Remains up to date on business strategies and industry standards / best practices
Provides consulting regarding design of complex enterprise initiatives - and guidance to the SHARES project teams.
People & Administrative Functions:
Facilitates meetings and presentations to ensure alignment on project scope, requirements and impact analysis findings.
Facilitates the creation of end user training materials
Performs other job-related duties and activities as requested
Required Education, Knowledge/Skills and Experience
Education
Bachelors' degree in Information Technology or Business Administration and/or equivalent work experience, education, or training
Knowledge/Skills
Demonstrates intermediate knowledge and skills related to Business Analysis.
Demonstrates basic knowledge of projects using an SDLC or IDF
Demonstrated use of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Visio, and PPM.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Team Player.
Experience
2 or more years of experience working as an IT-Business Analyst
Airline or travel industry experience.
Knowledge and experience performing business analysis functions for projects that involve development, implementation and maintenance for Passenger Service Systems (PSS) and the IBM-Transaction Process Facility (TPF) platform.
Experience working in project teams using traditional and Agile project management methodologies.
Analytical approach to problem solving
