Role Summary

The Business Analyst elicits, analyzes and documents requirements for digital customer journeys and related data analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities:  Facilitates requirements gathering sessions for requests, proactively drawing out requirements from stakeholders. 

* Learn and understand business processes to support core technical responsibilities.
* Performs gap analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement.
* Documents business needs through User Stories within an agile SDCL framework.
* Leads requirement gathering sessions with product ownership, delivery and quality assurance team members.
* Creates requirement definition documentation and simple functional specifications to capture business needs and for validation with the customer to be shared with project stakeholders.
* Analyzes requirements and assesses feasibility; consults technical team as appropriate
* Validates and obtains sign-off for functional requirements/specifications.
* Creates functional design documents
* Manages and documents changes to requirements throughout the project.
* Transitions functional knowledge to delivery and quality assurance teams
* Tracks and reports on projects meeting defined requirements throughout the project life cycle.
* Reviews test strategy, test plans and scripts for completeness and accuracy.

Qualifications: 

* Experienced with customer experience management software, scoring engines and data models.  Use of Adobe Campaign, Adobe AEM, Adobe Target, and Adobe Analytics is a plus.
* Typical candidates will possess 5+ years of business or technical experience. 
* 3+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst. 
* Experience working within Agile methodology a plus.
* Possesses experience working within an agile software development environment and use of an agile work management system.  Experience with Rally (formerly Agile Central) is a plus.
* Analyzes process and data flows, identifying potential redundancies, overlaps in accountability, key decision points, etc.
* Responds and communicates efficiently with product ownership and delivery teams to facilitate resolution of user issues as necessary.
* Life Insurance Domain experience preferred

Education / Training

Required Bachelor's degree; equivalent work experience accepted
