Bethesda Game Studios is seeking a qualified Build Engineer for our Austin, Texas team to help create and maintain an online title. The successful candidate will have knowledge of and experience in the design, implementation and continuing support of cross platform build systems, continuous integration build systems, patching systems, asset dependency and packaging systems, multiple branched environments, and source control integration. The ideal candidate will have a background in software engineering, with experience in tool development a plus.
* Responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and improving build and deployments systems * Works closely with QA and the development team to deliver builds to team members * Works with team members to resolve any build or deployment issues day to day * Responsible for optimizing and automating infrastructure processes * Designs and develops additional tools to improve development workflow * Participates in code reviews and an agile development process * Accurately estimates his/her schedules and delivers high quality work products to that schedule * Writes clear, maintainable, portable code
* Expertise in cross platform build systems in Linux and Windows * Expertise in CI based build software (TeamCity or Jenkins) * Expert knowledge of version control systems and branching concepts * Competent Linux System Administrator knowledge * Strong programming skills * Expertise in one or more scripting languages (Python, Lua, Java, Bash) * Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering * Professional software development experience in C++ or C# * Experience with cloud infrastructure and docker containers * Knowledge of rapid internal tool development with web services and similar * Familiarity with automated testing systems, game patching systems, and server deployment * Game industry experience * Strong familiarity with Bethesda Game Studios' games
