Job Description

The key responsibilities of the BSS Test Engineer vary during the lifecycle of the Project;

* Develop a clear understanding of the System/s under test and programme personnel, methodologies and requirements.
* Involved in the definition of Test Cases and associated pre-requisites.
* Review and execution of associated Test Cases, scripts and expected results; with a strict requirement driven focus.
* Identification and definition of test data requirements.
* Creation and execution of Test Cases, ensuring accurate and structured logging of "Issues" (defects) and tracking to a defined resolution status.
* Responsible for targeted "Issue" (defect) progression; reporting, triage and tracking.
* Adherence to testing timelines, immediately flagging any potential deviation.
* Prepare & distribute regular status reports as required.
* To pro-actively participate within Test workshops and planning sessions; always speaking up with experience based observations on test topics including; environments, test execution Participating in regular Progress Reviews and identifying risks, issues and lessons learned to the Engineering Manager and Test Manager
* Inputting to and updating the Test Management Tool.
* Working closely with the engineering management, other design, build, test engineers and project managers.
