DESCRIPTION:

Provide Network and Systems engineering maintenance support, troubleshooting, and administration for television IT based video/audio and automation systems at the CBS-NY Broadcast Center, in a 24x7x365 environment.

* Interface with system users, technicians, engineers and other Television Broadcast Maintenance personnel to install, configure and debug automated broadcast applications and system.


* Manage and administer software deployment.


* Provide day-to-day support of networked systems within the broadcast network infrastructure.


* Configure, troubleshoot and repair IT computer network switches, routers, firewalls and related systems.


* Assist Operations and Television Broadcast Maintenance personnel in resolving on-air problems


* Generate and update system documentation.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

* Experience required with Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 and Win7/8/10 operating systems


* Experience with setting up and maintaining IT firewalls, routers, IP subnets, and networked storage systems


* Must be detail oriented with ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment


* Excellent written and verbal communications skills required


* Proficiency with MS-Word and MS-Excel


* Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other advanced technical degree


* Minimum of 3 years of experience working in IT or broadcast engineering field.



Preferred:

* Experience with Linux, HP Blade subsystems, Symantec Endpoint Protection, VMware virtualization, and Amazon Web Services desired


* Knowledge of Symantec Altiris, Big Fix, WSUS and Red Hat Satellite for managing IT infrastructure preferred.


* Avaya ERS/VSP and Cisco router/switch experience preferred


* Experience with management and administration of Red Hat and IP tables desirable


* Knowledge of Audio, Video, Control Systems, RF, Fiber-Optics, and MPEG broadcast distribution systems preferred
