Job Overview This DevOps resource will play an integral role in the PTEIT development team: - Own critical DevOps tasks (data migration, volume creation, integrity checks, scripting, pipeline automation, tuning, etc) in the PTEIT data engineering/machine learning project. - Automate smart provisioning of cloud resources - Implement automated processes for data movement between on-prem MapR Hadoop clusters and AWS cloud. - Plan, design and implement CI/CD automation and deployment of Docker-based apps running on the Rancher platform. - Work with architects and management to plan MapR platform roadmap initiatives and collaborate with the global MapR operational team to execute on these initiatives. - Collaborate with architects to enable PTEIT analytics applications migration to big data platform All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company. Minimum Qualifications 2+ years experience with more than one operating system (e.g., Linux, OSX, Windows).

3+ years experience with Database Design structures such as Mongo DB, MySQL.

2+ years experience with more than one operating system (e.g., Linux, OSX, Windows).

3+ years experience with Database Design structures such as Mongo DB, MySQL.

Preferred Qualifications - Minimum 8 years total experience with at least 5 years of DevOps experience - Hands-on knowledge of Jenkins and CI/CD best practices - Hands-on knowledge of Linux - Hands-on experience with Docker and orchestration platforms like Rancher/Kubernetes - Hands-on experience with Hadoop and related big data ecosystem (HIVE, SQOOP, Spark, etc) - Hands-on experience with Bash/Python scripting as well as POSIX commands. - Hands-on experience with Splunk - Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc) - Intermediate to advance SQL language experience - Solid understanding of on-prem infrastructure (storage, hardware, network, data-center, etc) - Solid understanding of hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures - Solid understanding of security of on-prem and cloud architectures - Effective communication, documentation and problem-solving skills - Experience with agile methodology, such as Scrum - Experience with machine learning/data science/data engineering - Experience with serverless cloud technologies - Experience with MapR Hadoop platform - AWS certification in architecture/DevOps - Team player with can-do attitude Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience Keywords
