NTT DATA Services currently seeks a BI Tool Administrator - Data Virtulization to join our team in Addison, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Overview

* Designs, plans, and implements most aspects of database management and may begin to specialize in one aspect of database management such as data administration, web connectivity, physical structure, logical design, SQL and SQL applications or overall architecture and database analysis.
* Plans and configures the physical and logical database environment.
* Evaluates and recommends the purchase and utilization of software products to assist in the management of data.
* Diagnoses problems and determines resolution for applications and system software.
* Measures performance and modifies system level configuration to optimize performance.
* Maintains physical integrity of all production databases.
* Anticipates business constraints and their applicability to database management.
* Performs database installation and configuration, tuning, capacity planning, health checks, backups and recovery and change management according to documented standards.
* Troubleshoots issues with database instances, disaster recovery, replication and backups and eliminates root causes thru systematic problem management practices.

Basic Qualifications

* Requires 4+ years relevant experience in BI Tool Administration. (which includes the following)

Working knowledge on DDL, DML activities on DB and object level.

Database refresh, copy from prod to dev, uat servers

Providing access/permissions to users

Should have worked on SQL Server 2008, SQL2012 preferable

Performance tuning activities such as query tuning, object tuning

Knowledge on partitioning, replication, auditing.

Nice to Have

* Knows and consistently uses fundamentals of implementing and maintaining databases.
* Fundamental knowledge of actual database definition, design, and configuration.
* Knowledge includes experience on primarily standard databases along with exposure to more complex systems.
* Competent to work in most phases of client server relational database management.
* Strong oral, written and customer service skills.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Implement new BI and Visualization Platforms ( Denodo) while supporting existing technologies/tools
* Work with business partners, architects, and other groups to identify technical and functional needs of analytical and BI systems, and determine priority of needs.
* Receives assignments in the form of objectives. Establishes own milestones and team objectives. Work is often self-initiated.
* Analyze, define, design and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment
* Develop, test, implement and document technical engineering solutions to assist business partner's self-service BI analytics tool service offering
* Manage and recommend Infrastructure Capacity Planning for BI and Database tools
* Advise on the available standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Data Science and can make correct choices from alternatives.
* Understand big data as well as cloud based data technologies and applications. Able to engineer solutions for the business to effectively utilize these data solutions while minimizing impact to system performance.
