Position Overview:

The BI Data Integration Developer will be responsible for developing and architecting ETL solutions as well as developing BI/Reporting solutions. This developer will apply current skills to the position as well as be open to developing new cloud-centric skills in new technologies. This developer must be experienced with applying all aspects of ETL architecture development to the workflows they develop including leveraging shared libraries, working with multiple data sources, applying data-driven transformations, using correct audit and control techniques to appropriately capture meta-data, implementing start/restart functionality and appropriately designing routines to auto-correct and self-manage. The BI Data Integration Developer must also be comfortable with working with users to determine requirements needed for reporting solutions then building, testing and working with users to refine the solution.

Qualifications: Education/Licensing Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Bachelor's degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience.
* Master's degree in a computer-related field is a plus.

Experience Requirements:

* 5+ years of relevant experience in developing and maintaining ETL routines in SSIS; will give preference for experience in Azure Data Factory or Azure Databricks.
* 5+ years of experience developing reporting solutions in SSRS.
* 5+ years of experience in writing SQL-based routines for unit testing data, moving data or working with requests from users to help them validate reporting solutions.
* Excellent data mapping skills in documenting source-to-target information that will lead to workflow and ETL development.
* Have excellent documentation skills when it comes to developing ETL code, workflows and transformations as well as supporting documentation on the maintenance and use.
* Have excellent communication skills when working with business users on determining requirements and working through iterations of the reporting solution.
* Develop functional specifications for data acquisition, transformation and load processes.
* Ensure data integration/ETL is implemented & monitored successfully to enable data quality, and on time availability.
* Analyzes current business practices, processes and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities for leveraging SSIS.
* Support the planning and implementation of data design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance and performing needs assessments.
* Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes.
* Excellent knowledge in sources and ETL products like SSIS.
* Experience in business processing mapping of data and analytics solutions.
* Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of technical data flows.
* Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality tools and processes is preferred

Essential Job Responsibilities:

* Develop, deploy, maintain and debug SSIS packages.
* Work with Business Analysts to aid in the design of the system.
* Investigate and resolve problems of data accuracy and availability
* Participate in integral testing to identify problems early.
* Perform error and stress scenarios.
* Participate in design and code reviews.
* Identify architectural issues and propose alternative solutions.
