Job Description Summary:

The analyst helps managers in the process of making informed business decisions that improve or sustain the organization's competitive position. The analyst is responsible for; gathering and understanding business requirements, designing and developing reports and dashboards, utilizing their knowledge of company data, and analyzing and extracting potentially large amounts of data.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities: Collaborates with business partners to identify and document informatics and analytics requirements to determine the viability of request from the business and jointly arrive at an acceptable solution and timeline. Continues to develop business knowledge to effectively anticipate and define opportunities to apply business intelligence and analytics solutions in order improve business outcomes. Develops business intelligence and analytics solutions to support business needs, including basic reporting and advanced analytics. Works with information technology and subject matter experts to understand data quality issues and drive the resolution of discrepancies. Participates in the design of new data structures and dimensional models in assigned business areas of the data warehouse. Advances and maintains business intelligence skills to help increase the analytical competency of the organization. Mentors junior Business Intelligence Analysts on projects requiring greater levels of experience and knowledge. Develops and leads initiatives to present to senior leadership, providing project progress and challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience and training; plus 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence. Masters degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related field DB2 Database Experience Azure Experience Database table design and management experience Kimball data modelling knowledge Java Experience Experience with processing XML and JSON PHP Experience C# or VB.net scripting Experience in Microsoft analysis services development.
