Job Description
BGC Technology: End User Support
Provide voice/communication support through phone/email/service tickets to front and back office users on voice and telecommunication issues including but not limited to:
* Install, test and troubleshoot dealerboard and voice/video telephony hardware
* Work with vendors and carriers to troubleshoot voice related issues
* Provide support for corporate mobile devices
* Perform morning system checks to ensure the systems are up
Provide desktops supports through phone/email/service tickets for front and back office users including but not limited to:
* Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, computer hardware (and any other authorized peripheral equipment) and across a range of authorized software applications
* Performs general preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on computers, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment
* To administer and email account, AD objects (users, distribution lists, user security with group policies)
* Perform morning system checks to ensure the systems are up
Assist facility matters whenever and wherever necessary including but not limited to:
* To coordinate with vendors to perform preventive maintenance and support on electrical system, aircons, UPSes, VESDA, water leakage detection system
* To issue, replace and collect door security access card and maintain the system
* Document and maintain technical operational procedures and maintain IT inventory
* Raise, update regularly and close promptly all support tickets
* Participate and implement in global projects
* Desk relocation
* Undertake other duties not specifically stated which from time to time are necessary without altering the nature or level of responsibility
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
* Working technical knowledge of current Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Office families, PCs, tools, components, peripheral accessories and voice/data cabling
* Working technical knowledge of BT/IPC voice dealing systems, Avaya/Cisco phone telephony systems, voice recording systems and general telecommunication support
* Knowledge of all software applications used within the organization including in-house applications, market data applications and third party software
* Good analytical and problem solving skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Able to operate with minimal supervision and maintain professional attitude under stress
* Able to manage time and set priorities effectively
