Launched in 2015, AWS Educate is focused on building bold initiatives to accelerate the integration and application of Cloud content and tools into classrooms around the globe. AWS Educate members include universities, colleges, and high schools- and the educators and students from these institutions. AWS Educate is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our team in developing new and gamified learning experiences across online, mobile and device-based environments for educators to teach and students to practice cloud skills that companies are looking for.

In this role you will work closely with the AWS Educate product, content, membership, partner and software development teams to define, deliver and deploy engaging, fun and learning products at scale around the world. You will evaluate and recommend gamified online, mobile and device-based learning experiences to delight our members. You will work with stakeholders to define approaches and architect solutions, identify resource requirements, and develop milestone-based schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. We use an agile process, you will be a key member of the team driving the process through risks, bottlenecks, escalations and tradeoffs that balance member and program needs with technical constraints. You should be comfortable diving deep on technical challenges and working through ambiguity, and enjoy thinking creatively to innovate experiences that leverage new and existing tools. A deep technical background and experience building /consuming APIs, system integration across a variety of learning platforms and learning tools, and proficiency with AWS services and architecting solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Interact across AWS Educate team and stakeholders to define strategies to deliver gamified learning activities across online, mobile and device-based experiences
* Scope and provide input to architect learning tools and applications that run on AWS.
* Support prototyping
* Lead the effective and efficient delivery of the scalable solutions and projects.
* Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, recommend tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
* Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.
* Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders.
* Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups of stakeholders.
