Jacobs is currently seeking an AWS Cloud Security Architect to work onsite in Reston VA or Washington DC.

Duties will include:

* Provide SME support new and existing Cloud initiatives security systems standard for network/ application / database; providing technical support as needed.
* Advise customers on cloud security best practices based on infrastructure need.
* Evaluate customer current security posture and report on possible deficiencies.
* Architect solutions needed to meet Security / Infrastructure and Use Case requirements
* Prepares security reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
* Elicit and document customer requirements for Cloud and Big Data projects, delivering analysis and recommendations on approaches to accomplish the requirements.
* Develop custom, efficient, complete Cloud management strategies for AWS and other cloud providers.
* Create project plans for content projects, report effectively on project status, and deliver on-time results that meet or exceed requirements
* Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Network Systems Technology or related field or equivalent experience plus five (5) to seven (7) years of directly related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications.
* Network , Application and Database Security hardening background, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Protocols, Networking Standards, Data analysis capabilities
* AWS Cloud Practitioner, or ASW Solution Architect Certification.
* Security tools familiarity such as Vulnerability/ Network scanners, Firewalls, Intrusion prevention, Data loss prevention, Assessment tools
* Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Standards (800-53, 800-171) & FISMA, PCI-DSS, HIPAA Security Standards
* Supervision, Conceptual Skills, Decision Making, Informing Others, Functional and Technical Skills, Dependability, Information Security Policies

Preferred Qualifications:

* Splunk Certifications
* Active Security , CISSP, CISM, and/or CISA Certifications
* AWS Certifications

Physical Requirements:

Most work will be done at a desk or computer.

Work Environment:

General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers. Multiple tasks & duties will need to be accomplished without any single duty falling behind or becoming neglected. Must effectively communicate and be communicated with by other team members. Must be able to represent and speak to current group efforts at any given time.

Equipment & Machines:

General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.

Attendance:

Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.

Must take and pass a drug test and background check as well as a motor vehicle records check. Must be a US citizen.
