Job Description

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor degree in computer science or related field, or two-year certification from technical college, or commensurate work experience, required, preferably in the commercial banking or real estate industry.


* Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in business intelligence and reporting on business data required.


* Minimum of five (5) years of experience with SQL Server 2010 stack or newer including, but not limited, to Integration Services, Reporting Services and Analytical Services required.


* Minimum of three (3) years of experience with graphical report development or applications through Power BI or similar services required.


* Prior experience working with Kimball Data Warehousing Methodology and Business Intelligence systems required.


* Prior experience in multi-dimensional modeling and developing star schemas, normalized and denormalized models, and utilizing "slow-changing" dimensions, required.


* Certification and/or education in Business Intelligence and Microsoft SQL Server technologies Qlik, Tableau, Domo, Hyperion, Business Objects, SQL Server Reporting Services or Power BI preferred.



Job Purpose and Scope:

Serves as a full stack data developer, responsible for performing data mart development, ETL configuration, cube expansion, report development, visual development and general data architecture support.

Essential Job Functions:

* Develops and demonstrates a thorough understanding of assigned business process, respective Bank systems of record, relevant data domains of assigned process and existing data store environments.


* Builds and demonstrates an understanding of Bank applications and their respective roles in generating business data and how OZK Data Innovation supports these applications to meet business requirements.


* Collects and organizes data from a variety of sources to assist with data management, reporting and database administration tasks.


* Performs as a key contributor to data mart architecture and roadmap recommendations.


* Develops data model structures, extract transform & load (ETL) services, reporting services and expansion of the data mart(s).


* Provides hands-on technical knowledge and capabilities of SSRS report development, SSAS for analytical or XLS analysis, visualization development and use of Power BI.


* Supports environment change management control by coordinating data mart changes with AVP Data Analysis & Operations as well as OZK Information Technology department.


* Supports ongoing management of data technology solutions in the area of master data management, business data management and reference data.


* Provides guidance for data acquisition from RESG applications, OZK applications and external data services.


* Operates in a coordinated manner with AVP, Data Architecture.


* Builds rapport and an understanding with all levels of the RESG organization to meet the needs of RESG Leadership.


* Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.


* Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.


* Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines.



Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

* Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, SSAS and SSIS.


* Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform including Power BI, PowerApps, and Flow.


* Knowledge of change control platforms such as GitHub or Bitbucket.


* Knowledge of open-source programming languages (i.e., R, Python) used in data analysis.


* Knowledge of IT infrastructure service management and the disciplines associated with operating an IT infrastructure.


* Ability to maintain current knowledge of product enhancements.


* Ability to demonstrate effective business analysis and technology analysis skills to assist in continuous improvement within the Information Technology and Business Intelligence Platform.


* Ability to work effectively with business customers to explain their options for meeting their reporting and informational insight requirements.


* Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, identify problems and challenges, assess potential solutions, and draw sound conclusions while acquiring buy-in from key stakeholders.


* Ability to demonstrate effective project management and customer service skills.


* Ability to multi-task and meet exacting deadlines.
