Job Description

Currently, RG is seeking an Avaya Security Compliance Engineer to support a premier telecom client in Washington DC. The work would be onsite in D.C. but would support an environment of over 500 sites and 45,000 users.

A Day in the Life:

To help make our customer successful, the chosen candidate can expect to be involved with or responsible for identifying and closing vulnerabilities at an enterprise level. The Avaya Security Compliance Engineer will work with the end client to understand the security guidelines required and then design a security plan that the technical product team will implement. The Engineer is expected to handle security incidents and escalations and to solve and prevent network problems that can arise from the internetworking of complex systems. The Engineer will be expected to write scripts in Python to resolve many of the security issues. For larger-scale problems, the Engineer will engage the technical product team to address the problem or vulnerability. The Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the overall security of the system.

Required Skills

A Consultant is an exempt customer-facing business professional that provides a variety of information directly to customers for their ongoing programs, new initiatives, strategic planning, and measurement/evaluation in one or more of RG's solutions. They possess excellent customer service skills, remain current on industry trends, value team work, and have a wide range of interpersonal skills.

Required Experience

To be successful in this role, all candidates must meet the below qualifications to be considered.

* Current Top Secret clearance or within the window to reactivate
* 7+ years Network security
* Python experience
* Experience managing network, application security and vulnerability at an enterprise level
* Avaya software troubleshooting and support (CM, CC, Aura)
