Parsons is now hiring experienced Automation Engineers with a passion for providing technical support to engineers on a variety of highly complex tasks.

Parsons Cyber Operations is seeking Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior Automation Engineers to work within a development team to provide tools and solutions to assist with automation and automated testing in an Agile environment. Qualified candidates will be required to collaborate with developers and test teams to determine what actions currently being done manually can be automated, determine the technical solutions necessary to do so, and create tools to accomplish this. Successful candidates must be flexible, self-motivated, hardworking, and capable of operating in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or in a related field.
* Must have a Bachelor of Science in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.Will consider work experience in lieu of degree.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance

Software Experience:

* Software development experience in C and/or Python and/or scripting languages like BASH
* Experience working in a Linux command line environment

Test experience:

* Experience with development test frameworks like PyTest and CUnit
* Experience analyzing performance, availability, stability and efficiency of end product

Criteria for levels:

* 0-2 years for Junior Level
* 3-5 years for Mid-Level
* 6+ years for Senior Level

Preferred Qualifications:

* Strong experience with network configuration
* Experience working within an Agile environment; experience working as a part of a development team
* Experience conducting end-to-end testing of large or complex information systems
* Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Xen, OpenStack, VirtualBox, Docker, Kubernetes)
* Experience validating and verifying application functionality against customer specified requirements
* Ability to communicate effectively with technical team members, managers, and customers
* Active Top Secret Security Clearance
