As a member of the Audio Software global development team at Qualcomm, you will have the opportunity to work with an international team of hardware, systems, and software engineers to develop cutting edge audio and voice technology employed by a wide-ranging set of products from smart phones and smart speakers, to smart cameras and smart routers to smart TVs, soundbars, and other entertainment devices to voice activated appliances and smart home devices. The Audio Software team drives the feature design, development, integration, and commercialization of audio and voice software running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors.

Responsibilities include:

To design, implement, integrate, and commercialize various software modules on DSP platforms that are part of Qualcomms Snapdragon processor and meet specified performance, latency, power, robustness, and stability metrics. Responsibilities also include requirements analysis, software maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio DSP framework, services, and drivers. All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

1+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications Embedded software development Coding with Python AND C/C++ knowledge Knowledge of software design patterns and multi-threaded programming. Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, structures, and basic algorithms, particularly with respect to DSP platforms. Software debugging skills in real time operating systems, preferably on DSP platforms and expertise in working with tools and techniques used on DSP platforms (e.g. Trace32, JTAG, etc.). Understanding of power and performance considerations on systems, preferably on DSP platforms ARM or other SoC development and debugging. Background and experience in several of the following areas: Audio usage models (e.g. playback, recording and streaming, etc.). Voice usage models including (e.g. CS and PS calls). Experience with audio speech,compression standard (e.g. MP3, AAC, FLAC, AMR, EVS, etc.)., DSP algorithms,etc " id="hdnPreferredQualifications" />6 months to 3 years of academic or industry experience in the following: Embedded software development Coding with Python AND C/C++ knowledge Knowledge of software design patterns and multi-threaded programming.
