Job Description

The Advanced Concepts & Technologies Group develops technology to protect land and sea assets from air and missile threats, which operate in a rapidly evolving complex Electronic Warfare (EW) environment. The group's research and development activities span a wide spectrum including concept development, advanced algorithms development, prototyping, experimental field-testing, and analysis of systems and data. Of particular interest to the group is the development of: software-reconfigurable electronic warfare systems and prototypes, advanced signal processing algorithms for signal exploitation, resource coordination techniques for enhanced battle management, and artificial intelligence to enable the development of next generation countermeasures, sensors, and enhanced human-machine teaming for fleet defense. Due to the wide-ranging nature of research, this dynamic group is comprised of a diverse team of scientists and engineers with expertise in physics, mathematics, computer science, and various engineering backgrounds. Junior Machine Learning Researcher

MIT Lincoln Laboratory, located in Lexington, Massachusetts, is a United States Department of Defense research and development center chartered to apply advanced technology to problems of national security. The group's research and development activities span a wide spectrum including concept development, advanced algorithms development, prototyping, experimental field-testing, and analysis of systems and data. The Advanced Concepts and Technologies Group is looking for an entry level candidate who can provide support across a variety of projects including research in systems analysis, human-machine collaboration, and serious games. The candidate will work with a diverse team to develop testing scenarios, develop AI algorithms, and design experiments with users.

Required Skills:

* Bachelor's degree in physics, math, engineering, or related field
* Fluency in a software language and ability to write pseudocode
* A demonstrated background in effective problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Desired Skills:

* Skilled in Julia, Python, or MATLAB
