Conviva is looking for an Associate QA Engineer for the Customer Integration & Validation Engineering team. The engineer will validate the integration of Conviva SDKs into customer applications by executing various test scenarios and comparing the user experience to the events reported by the video player, and the metrics computed by Conviva's analytics platform.

What you get to do every day:

* Perform extensive manual testing on video applications across various platforms like Web, Mobiles, Gaming Consoles, Smart TVs, and Set-top Boxes
* Use in-house tools to analyze and validate events reported by video players
* Use third-party tools like Wireshark and Charles proxy to monitor and manipulate network traffic
* Debug and perform root cause analysis for issues identified during testing
* Create detailed customer facing test reports describing the issues found and proposed fixes
* Contribute to improving our existing test cases and test documentation
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Support, and Field)
* Help in upkeeping the 'device lab' so that devices and test equipment are always organized

What you bring to the role:

* Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles, methods and processes.
* Experience testing applications on at least one platform (iOS, Android, Web, Set-top Box, etc)
* Experience using network proxy tools like Wireshark, Charles proxy, Fiddler proxy
* Ability to read and debug system logs (Logcat, Xcode, etc).
* Bonus points for knowledge of OTT video delivery process, video formats or prior video streaming testing experience

Qualifications:

* BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
* 1-2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance/ Quality Engineering role
