Job Description

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks an Associate, Financial Crimes Technology in New York, New York

Perform detailed impact analyses to detect suspicious patterns, trends, anomalies, and schemes in transactions level data using Actimize. Liaise with stakeholders across multiple businesses/products. Create complex models/frameworks and scenarios within Actimize to detect suspicious/fraudulent activities and schemes across the Wealth Management, Asset Management, and the Capital Market Divisions. Provide information to support Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) or equivalent for regulatory filings to FINCEN. Provide business analysis coverage for the Legal, Compliance, and Risk firm wide initiatives. Assist in documenting requirements, data flow structures, process diagrams, use cases, and functional specifications for high visibility regulatory projects. Assist the business analysis/project management team with business analysis, data analysis, and automation of various business processes. Understand and articulate Financial Crimes technology vision and strategy. Ensure that technology solution is successfully aligned with the business goals and priorities.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Management and Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and one (1) of experience in the position offered or one (1) year of experience as an Analyst, Associate, or related occupation in financial services. Requires one (1) year of experience in the anti-money laundering (AML), fraud, or risk space. Requires one (1) of experience with: MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; data analysis; process flow diagram; product documentation; and stakeholder management. Will accept any amount of experience with: business analysis in full system development life cycle (SDLC); designing user interface mock-ups; SQL; professional functional specification; use case; Agile methodologies including Scrum; object-oriented design and development; relational DBMS design and development; and SAR reporting, ALM/Sanctions screening, or risk assessment.
