Assoc. Manager in Data Engineering

We are looking for a Assoc. Manager in Data Engineering to join our Analytics COE. The resource will be responsible for introducing technical capabilities that will expand and optimize our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The ideal candidate is the perfect blend of data engineer and business data analyst that will focus on optimizing data systems, developing data models from the ground up, supporting various analytical requirements and enforcing data governance. This resource will also work with our partner(s) developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of joining a team whose goal is to create the most valuable enterprise data assets and passionate about the problems these assets can help solve.

Primary Responsibilities

* Transforming large, complex data into business assets that serve both the Enterprise Business Insights team, Global Business Services throughout the organization in providing actionable insights.
* Build custom data pipelines that will clean, transform and aggregate data from multiple data sources including both ERP and non-ERP applications.
* Providing appropriate data that would help Business analysis. This would require the resource to work with Business Insights team, Data SMEs to understand the business problems they are trying to solve and create or augment data assets to feed their analysis.
* Perform Data Architect and Modeler roles in SAP BI/HANA, utilizing data modeling, data warehouse, and reporting skills.
* Manage data ingestion leveraging SDI, SDA , SLT, BODS and ECC Extractors .
* Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

REQUIRED:

* Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience with native HANA data modeling implementing SAP HANA information models such as HANA Views (Calculation views) with graphical and SQL Scripting, CDS Views.
* At least 1+ years in Data modeling experience with SAP BW on HANA with HANA Studio and HANA Views.
* Strong proficiency in SQL. Extensive experience in writing Stored Procedures in HANA using SQL Script
* Experience with SDA , SDI ,SLT, BODS and ECC Extractors.
* Ability to configure SDI with the SDI Agent and understanding of SDI Adapters
* Expert knowledge on building HANA views using SDI/SDA and ETL process using Data Services.
* Experience in performing RCA, Performance Tuning and Query Optimization in HANA.
* Expertise in both HANA and ECC back end object development and support - extractors, data sources, DSO's, info cubes, multiproviders, infosets, open hubs, APD's, Calculation Views , Stored Procedures etc.
* Functional background and understanding of SAP business processes

PREFERRED:

* CPG and Supply Chain experience.
* Understanding of Agile methodologies and processes is preferred.
* Good Knowledge of HANA XS, JavaScript and developing User Interface with SAP UI5.
* Experience in designing and implementing security for SAP HANA.
* Knowledge in SAP HANA advanced features Dynamic Tiering, Smart Data Integration, Data warehousing Foundation tools.
* Experience in Visualization tools like Tableau, Business Objects.
* HANA 2.0+ experience is a plus.
* Understanding of Hadoop Architecture is a plus.
* Understanding of DevOps process and tools is a plus. No more than 10 bullets
