Grant Thornton is seeking a Manager to join its Enterprise Technology Strategy service line and take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

* Serve as an SAP Financials expert, providing the Chief financial Officer with assessments, evaluations, and recommendations to ensure a successful implementation across all business functions
* Conduct assessments on the SAP ERP implementation and advise client and project team on approach alternatives based on risks, current system configurations, best practice, and security / accreditation decisions
* Conduct in-depth analysis and Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) and functional/ operational test results for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to agency's cybersecurity technical and operational security requirements
* Lead cross-functional collaboration across business owners and technical staff to recommend, implement, and sustain resolution plans for identified issues/vulnerabilities
* Assess and evaluate client's budget, finance, and accounting operations, processes and methods
* Knowledge and understanding of project related industry standards such as PMBOK, IEEE, CMMI, MSP, etc. is a plus
* Work with the cybersecurity team to develop and implement the detailed test plan and review findings from self-assessment to determine readiness for independent assessment
* Lead analysis of capability-to-requirements traceability, leveraging knowledge and experience with business requirements
* Ability to review and provide corrective recommendations on Functional and Technical Design Specs, Business Process Designs, Test plans and Test Cases and all other ERP Implementation related documentations
* Manage the creation of project deliverables in coordination with the prime
* Support the program manager with client engagement administrative tasks
* Develop PMO management plans, project plans, and transition plans
* Monitor execution of software development and maintenance tasks
* Ensure developmental products conform to requirements
* Review all implementation task and activities and report observations and recommendations based on SAP SDLC.
* Identify and analyze issues
* Knowledge: Applies advanced technical principles, theories and concepts.
* Contributes to development of new principles and concepts.
* Understands the IT development lifecycle and effective program management.
* Problem Solving: Use professional judgement to guide the client project toward a positive outcome, assessing risks and making recommendations to address those risks. Works on complex technical problems and provides solutions that are innovative and creative. Understands application function and creates tests to determine root causes for identified issues. Takes advantage of the expertise of others to develop collaborative solutions.
* Work effectively in a government and multiple contractor environment promoting teamwork
* Participate on control boards, recommend corrective actions, and report progress to resolutions. Actively participate in and facilitate project meetings and discussions in the course of evidence collection and risk assessment.
* Make technical recommendations regarding requirements and application changesPerform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
* Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
* Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
* Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
* Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.
* Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.
* BA/BS in Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related discipline
* 10 years of direct SAP ERP implementation / support / upgrade experience; professional services experience and/or specific relevant industry experience
* Minimum 7 years of Quality Assurance / IV&V experience
* Significant prior experience with the standard software development life-cycle (analysis/design, development, testing, implementation, support)
* Experience in applying Testing Methodologies in the financial or credit reform domains
* Experience testing ERP application instances to successfully validate application setups, including input to test plans, test scenarios, and test scripts
* Experience analyzing, testing and/or configuring SAP ERP with focus on Financial modules (GL, AR, AP, PS, AA, CO, CCA, PCA, Grants, and Funds Accounting)
* Experience in testing SAP Security and Administration (e.g., user roles/responsibilities/user groups, administration tools)
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including able to communicate technical issues in a straightforward and concise manner
* Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
* U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
* Travel may be required.
* Coach and mentor junior staff members.
* Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
* Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
* Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
* Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
* Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
