Position Summary:

Responsible for all requests for data processing services including, preparation of specifications, development and maintenance of computer programs, job control language and operational documentation. Assists productions systems group. Interfaces with other departments to determine user needs. Work with Paramedics and EMT's in a 911 call center facilitating the development and documentation of critical software for Northwell's Emergency Medical Services.

Responsibilities:

1. Create and analyze complex queries.

2. Ability to design and develop highly reliable systems that support current application architecture and strategic direction including Full Stack Development.

3. Coordinate, support and maintain Enterprise wide systems.

4. Respond to incoming calls and emails for problem determination and resolution.

5. Assists in evaluating requests for data processing services to determine feasibility and effort involved.

6. Prepares specifications for computer programs and for modifications to existing computer applications.

7. Develops and maintains computer programs, job control language (or equivalent) and operational documentation as required.

8. Assists in implementing/maintaining departmental systems, procedures, and standards.

9. Interfaces with personnel from other departments to gather user requirements an assist in the solution of application problems.

10. Performs additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

* Associates Degree or technical school in Programming, required. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Healthcare Industry experience, preferred.
* Experience using Asp.net Web Forms, DB SQL, C#, HTML#5, and JQuery, required. MVC, Data Controls, JavaScript, and CSS, preferred.
* Experience in Windows Desktop Application Development, C# WinForms, Object Oriented Design and Development.
* Experience with backend database (SQL Server) with SQL and TSQL skills, SSRS, preferred.
* Understanding of IIS, web architecture and integration with ASP.NET and C# code behind, required.
* Understanding of Database tuning and query optimization in SQL Server 2005-2012, required.
* Experience developing RESTful API's, XML, JSON.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Legacy COM development, preferred.
* Solid experience in code documentation and user training of developed systems.
* Strong troubleshooting skills, problem solving and problem resolution.
* Required to be on-call for support 24/7, based on a rotation schedule or as needed.
* Excellent communication skills and prioritizing tasks
* Demonstrated ability to work with both end users and technical staff at all levels of the organization.
* Ability to work independently or as a versatile team player.
