Job Description

The Application Development Advisor is responsible and accountable for the quality and cohesion of solution architecture components within an assigned domain and their conformance to approved CVS/Caremark IT standards and alignment with the future state specialty system. This individual is able to look across the assigned domain to ensure consistent alignment of technical solutions with the business goals and objectives of the supported unit. The Technical Advisor provides industry leading technical direction and guidance to the application development teams to ensure appropriate and cost effective application of CVS/Caremark approved technologies. Ensures appropriate and effective data integration across multiple applications.

Required Qualifications

5-8+ years development experience in application development (SDLC)

5+ years' experience IBM AS400 (aka iSeries), Synon/2e (aka Cool2e), RPG (including ILE) experience.

3+ years' experience in a tech lead role

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with RxClaim or other PBM system is preferred.

Experience managing customer requirements or demands.

Experience working in Agile & Scrum methodologies for software development.

Demonstrated successful completion of several medium scope projects; demonstrated proficiency working on all phases of SDLC; demonstrated proficiency with problem determination and resolution through research and fact-finding. Effective communication skills are required to facilitate meetings with both technical and business audiences, often across multiple functional departments.

Education

Bachelor's degreee in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.

Masters degree preferred.
