Job Description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Create new architecture for a moderate size product or a portion of a major product. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

The Cloud Architect will be a member of the My Oracle Support team. The My Oracle Support application portfolio is used by Oracle Customer Support to manage and resolve all customer initiated service requests for Oracle products.

The candidate needs to understand Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and come up with technical architecture for My Oracle Support move to Oracle Cloud systems. The candidate will be responsible for coming up with architecture design that meets Oracle Security standards. They need to develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new applications and systems.

As member of the My Oracle Support Team, candidate will design the technical infrastructure processes, integrate solutions into existing infrastructure, consult with developers to implement architecture solution and implement enterprise-class security systems for a production environment.

Duties will include architecture design of system to meet security and architecture standards. Working closely with global development team to implement approved architecture. Participate in global security calls to obtain company approval. Working with Operations and provisioning teams to implement proposed infrastructure.

Below skills are critical for success in this role:

* BS or MS degree or equivalent experience
* 7-10 years of software engineering experience with atleast 3 years as an Architect.
* Extensive knowledge of Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) cloud offerings.
* Working knowledge in Identity and Access Management, enterprise level Security design
* Knowledge of Oracle Cloud offerings is a plus
