Do you want to work on Alexa, the voice activated digital assistant powering Amazon Echo, Dot, Show and Fire TV? Are you an Applied Scientist who dreams of building solutions that combine the latest technology in applied machine learning, NLP and distributed Cloud services? The Alexa AI Natural Understanding team works on the core server-side components for Alexa's Natural Understanding (NU) modules. We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented and self-motivated Applied Scientist who is passionate about new technologies to join the team. You will be working alongside top notch machine learning scientists and engineers building complex new capabilities for Alexa. Our systems need to meet remarkably high standards of quality, performance and reliability, operating around the clock on a massive scale. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of core product features. You will deliver key machine learning solutions into production, while inventing and building algorithms from the ground up. You will have significant influence on the overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product to delight Alexa customers.
