Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Support Sr. Analyst for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Manage production environment for trading and pricing technologies and related technical infrastructure utilized by Citi's North American trading businesses. Support and enhance trading environment, ensuring full interoperability between associated proprietary applications, systems, platforms and technologies using Windows/Linux operating systems and scripting skills. Perform database maintenance using KDB, Oracle and SQL. Responsible for the entire software development life cycle, including software coding, integration, debugging, and preparing related documentation. Engineer and provide support to intelligence systems encompassing a wide range of sophisticated engineering problem resolutions. Provide system-related solutions for risk management and trade settlement issues. Develop, integrate and validate new product designs with hardware designs. Resolve production issues, implement new systems and functionality and ensure stability of Citi's technology. Analyze new technologies and pricing models, monitor and troubleshoot real-time messaging and large datasets, and work with business and technology partners to identify and mitigate technical issues. Drive process improvements and automation. Review Software Configuration Management plans and related scripts/programs. Monitor changes to applications and their operating environment. Implement application releases and change verification activities, record and log production problems, and ensure investigation and remediation is completed for outage avoidance. Define and record application disaster recovery plans and procedures, identify application issues, and provide technical input on changes and enhancements to critical technology.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronic Engineering or closely related technical field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an Application Support Analyst, Software Engineer, Technical Specialist or closely related position. Must have 5 years of work experience with: Analyzing backend procedures and codes in JAVA and Python; Reading and writing scripts in Shell, batch, and Python; Linux Operating System; Solaris Operating System; Writing SQL queries on Oracle database, Sybase database and SQL Server; FIX protocol and configuration and usage of Geneos monitoring platform; Network analysis and security; Incident and problem management practices; JIRA and Service Now; and Foreign Exchange Transaction Lifecycle, including FX Trading, OPTIONS and other Derivatives.
