Job Description

Germanna Community College is seeking a skilled functional manager to support and maintain our Enterprise and internal support systems. The position will be responsible for managing the design of technology solutions, development, test, documentation and implementation of application programs. The position will perform necessary maintenance and apply upgrades to existing programs and systems in response to changing needs. Statement of Duties: The Application Support Manager will work with multiple departments within the college; serve as a liaison between the college and VCCS on enterprise applications; serve as project implementation manager on major software adoptions; provide support for web application development and maintenance of web servers; provide support for SQL servers and database management and analysis, including the extraction of complex data. In addition, the incumbent will: ? Work with systems like PeopleSoft (Student Information System, Administration Information System, and Human Resource System), Lumens, SharePoint, Active Data, etc. ? Extract/Import data into/from third party applications (Academic Works, EMC, Smarthinking, My Labs, Follett Bookstore Interface, etc. ? Supervise, train and support departmental staff ? Manage the department's budget ? Development and maintenance of policies as well as developing business interruption and every contingency plans ? Successfully interact with all levels of agency staff, other government officials, and the general public Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 per year, with full state benefits (state pay practices apply) This position is open until filled. Minimum Qualifications

? Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related information technology field with some coursework in information systems/computer programming ? Experience developing SQL Server Business Intelligence packages, datasets, reports, dashboards and other artifacts to analyze complex issues ? Demonstrated ability to analyze business requirements and design appropriate solutions ? Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

? Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of PeopleSoft SIS/HRMS tools in a higher education environment ? Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, SQL, SQR, Crystal Reports, People Tools, Oracle, and HTML ? Considerable working knowledge if information technology methods and applications software for the design, development, maintenance, and integration of complex computer systems and programs in a multiplatform environment
