Job Description

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

* Develop updates, corrections, or enhancements including Business Logic in Java & SQL as well as User Interfaces in HTML and JavaScript.
* Identify and create solutions to improve product quality, security, and performance
* Perform design and analysis, coding and unit testing of complex to highly complex functionality
* Make technical contributions to product architecture
* Resolve complex technical design issues
* Develop accurate estimates on projects and ensure the accuracy of estimates developed by less experienced team members
* Collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to plan and deliver solutions
* Act as mentor to colleagues through code reviews and technical discussions

Expectations

* Extensively experienced with Java, SQL, PL/SQL, javascript. Strong background in creating multi-threaded Java applications
* Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and distributed systems fundamentals
* Experience with JDBC, Relational databases like Oracle, MySQL
* Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
* A self-starter who is clever, tireless and dedicated
* Proactive about solving problems

* B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
* Typically 7-9 years of previous software engineering or related experience required

Preferred

* Experience with Oracle ADF BC, Oracle SOA Suite and Oracle Fusion Middleware
* Experience developing RESTful APIs in Java
