Job Description

BAE Systems is providing an opportunity to support an important Department of Justice customer as an Application Support Engineer. The successful candidate will transition third-party applications to a production platform, monitor the function of those applications, and maintain their operational availability through close coordination with the applications developers, commercial companies, and the operations and maintenance (O&M) engineering team. Provide technical support and training for the applications hosted on the system.

Job Functions:

* Management of a development environment.
* Overseeing transitions of an application from development, to staging, to operational, production environment.
* Publication of user documentation and/or training materials,
* Transition of the application to operations and maintenance (O&M) engineering team when directed.
* Gather and report utilization and performance metrics pertaining to the third-party applications after deployment on the production system.
* Provide regular status updates to the customer, program leadership, and development teams on the progress of applications throughout the deployment lifecycle.
* Assist with requirement deconstruction, collaborating on designs, and providing feedback to the O&M engineering team on new capabilities integration efforts, and recommend improvements or changes if required.
* Design, deploy, and maintain AWS capabilities such as Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloudwatch, AWS Identity and Access Management.
* Collaborate with the O&M engineering team to ensure new integrations are aligned with the overall program strategy.
