Job Description

Overview

The Application Systems Analyst II is a full-time position with Atlantic Health System's (AHS) Information Technology Division supporting user education on multiple Epic applications. The position has responsibility for the new hire education curriculum and delivery, ongoing education on enhancements and upgrades, digital learning development, and ad hoc user support of assigned applications and technologies including, but not limited to, one or more of the following:

* Epic Patient Access (Cadence, Grand Central, Prelude)
* Epic Beacon and Research
* Epic Radiant
* Epic Cupid
* Epic Hospital Billing
* Epic HIM
* Epic Ambulatory, MyChart, Carelink, or Healthy Planet
* Epic Home Care and Hospice

The work is accomplished in a team environment and requires excellent problem solving and communication skills with a high level of professionalism.

Responsibilities

An Application Systems Analyst II - Training responsibilities include:

* Design and maintain assigned training curriculum, eLearnings, and Epic environments for training and education.
* Analyze new functionality and recommends how to educate the appropriate user communities on changes to the system.
* Provide user education through methods including, but not limited to, demos, workflow walkthroughs, tip sheets, digital learning, knowledge building, activities, and live education events, both virtual and in person.
* Organize the schedule of delivery of training and education activities consistent with AHS hiring activities, new provider on-boarding, projects, go-lives, upgrades, etc.
* Participate in Epic release management activities including planning, analyzing, and scheduling of changes to the system.
* Provide support of daily and ad-hoc requests.
* Interface with key IT, clinical, business and operations staff to identify performance gaps and understand and interpret clinical and non-clinical workflows, processes, and terminology to translate information into educationally sound training content.
* Architect and deliver education through methods designed to improve services or to lower costs, operating under deadlines and challenging workloads.
* Solve complex problems and develops solutions to tasks or projects which may be unique, using judgment and initiative.
* Engage expert resources when needed and escalates appropriately
* Responsible to be available to work on an on-call basis for system upgrades, go lives and departmental needs

Qualifications

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Mathematics, Healthcare Informatics or Computer Science or equivalent experience

Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years work experience within information technology or applicable area of healthcare
* Experience with technology application training, build, or configuration
* Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of clinical and/or business practices and principles
* Demonstrated ability to gather information from multiple sources and analyze applicability and appropriateness, and develop an effective learning program
* Experience with organizational strategies, business operations, and end-user requirements to develop training projects
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership and change management skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships

Preferred

* Familiarity with adult learning principles, competency-based education and understanding of technical instructional design techniques for instructor-led and individual on-the-job learning
* Application specific proficiency or certification in one or more of the following:
* Epic Patient Access (Cadence, Grand Central, Prelude)
* Epic Beacon and Research
* Epic Radiant
* Epic Cupid
* Epic Hospital Billing
* Epic HIM
* Epic Ambulatory, MyChart, Carelink, and Healthy Planet
* Epic Home Care and Hospice
