Summary:

The Application Service Delivery (ASD) organization is a uniquely positioned team that provides a broad range of global, firm wide services. In addition to traditional production support towers, ASD manages Shared Services platforms (including Enterprise Scheduling, Business Intelligence, and Evergreen) and a dedicated Quality Assurance discipline.

We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer with a proven track record of supporting a variety of portfolio management and trading systems. The candidate will work within a team of support engineers providing day to day support of trade flow applications and processes following incident, problem and change management standards.

The role will appeal to a hands-on, well-rounded individual with strong quantitative, analytical and technical skills with a passion for supporting mission critical applications.

Responsibilities:

* Team member for a critical Fixed Income & Trade Management trade support function - including Portfolio Management, Trading, and Routing; requiring end to end investment process knowledge
* Proactively identify issues within the environment and lead solutions to resolve them
* Communicate effectively to front office portfolio managers, traders, and analysts the status of applications, processes, and any issues
* Leverage ITSM toolset to continuously improve how systems are being monitored and supported
* Coordinate Release Implementation and support; including managing Permits to Operate

Requirements:

* BS or BA Degree and at least 10 years' experience
* 5-7+ years' industry experience supporting Fixed Income trading applications
* Knowledge of one or more products: Blackrock Aladdin, Black Mountain Everest, Bloomberg EMSX, FX Connect, Trace / MSRB regulatory reporting platforms, and Appia middleware
* Broad, hands-on experience with Incident, Problem and Change Management systems
* Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot application issues with complex business processes
* Strong oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; self-starter
