Job Description

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading international law firms with over 4000 lawyers and staff in 30 offices is seeking an Applications Developer reporting to the Director of eData Operations. This position can reside in the New York, San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, Washington DC or Philadelphia office will assist with improving the functionality of internal technology platforms and tools. He/she is responsible for establishing and maintaining technology solutions, appropriate to business need objectives, and will assist in the implementation of application development projects. This position will interpret, and translate, internal and external stakeholder strategies into software application deliverables.

Responsibilities:

* Serves as a strategic resource in the development of technology solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
* Develops and maintains policies, process flows, data models and system integrations utilizing a low code development platform and or a combination of object based configuration, native procedural language, as well as JavaScript coding.
* Evaluates, and prioritizes business requirements based on system viability and design.
* Recommends process optimization solutions to enable greater efficiencies via existing and new technologies.
* Develops and manages integrations with various applications and data source providers.
* Provides technical support and timely responds to production issues; utilizes effective troubleshooting techniques and proactively initiates improvements.
* Develops and manages detailed rule and configuration documentation, controls, testing, and governance.
* Assists in the development of, and adherence to, rule writing and implementation standards.
* Assists in system, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
* Adheres to policies and procedures governing software application systems used by the firm and its clients.

Experience/Qualifications:

* A Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field, from a four-year college or university,
* A minimum of 2 years designing, developing, and implementing enterprise application development solutions,
* Expertise in data structures and algorithms, object-oriented design and design patterns.
* Expertise in Javascript technologies, such as, React, Vue, or Node.js, experience with HTML/CSS technologies.
* Expertise in .NET, and capability to learn new languages as needed, such as Golang, or Python.
* Extensive Experience in API design and implementation.
* Proficient and knowledgeable in various design patterns.
* Experience using Waterfall, Agile practices, and continuous delivery practices.
* Experience working on service-oriented architectures and designing software within this context.
* Operational experience with Mulesoft, Outsystems (or other Low Code/No Code platform) and/or any Enterprise Content Management software is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective internal and external client relationships.
* The ability to work concurrently on projects; and the flexibility and dexterity to rapidly shift focus.
* Highly developed organizational and time management skills, and strong attention to detail
