Job Overview

Responsible for the operational administration and technical management of assigned application(s) including: system monitoring; storage and user management; quality control and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

Partners with user community to identify and prioritize opportunities for application(s) improvement. Analyzes and implements all on-going system maintenance and enhancements as needed. Defines any impact of updates and act accordingly including verifying proper system operation where appropriate. Tests all changes for completeness, including any system aspect that could be impacted by the change. Where appropriate test that all required data elements pass through interfaces. Maintains system and user security and perform and verify system backups. Assists in the development, implementation and support of application interfaces to ensure data integrity. Works with customers to identify and research problems and evaluate solutions and alternatives. Acts as a liaison for users and vendors to communicate problems, issues and recommended enhancements. Develops and revises application training materials and/or conduct application training as needed. Develops and maintains necessary system documentation for changes, workflows, processes etc. Responsible for around the clock on-going daily user support as required. Meets all required competencies for department, unit and/or hospital. Responsible for performing all other duties as assigned. Special Projects

Qualifications

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in a Health related field OR two to three years of work related experience. Knowledge of and experience with client/server technology, networking, user management, project management and databases are preferred. Work requires experience in multiple system applications. Work requires the analytical ability to resolve complex problems requiring the use of basic scientific, mathematical or technical principles and in-depth, experience-based knowledge. Work requires the exercise of independent judgment in order to establish budgets and objectives. Licensure in clinical area and/or Healthcare experience highly preferred.
