Job Description

The Application Analyst, Digital and Computational Pathology will provide technical support for the clinical and research initiatives for the Warren Alpert Center for Digital and Computational Pathology and the Pathology Department, as assigned. Under general supervision, is responsible for technical support and system analysis, testing, integration, and implementation; system and end-user documentation for all phases of systems development projects; supports new applications and ensures the successful operation of existing applications.

You Will:

* Resolves production problems on assigned systems; i.e. Slide scanners and digital imaging software tools and accessories.
* Assists in planning, coordination, and provides estimates (i.e., time) for assigned projects; serves as a liaison for users, IS staff, and vendors.
* Obtains all necessary details and information to ensure a workable solution for a segment of a system. Prepares proposals and recommendations to fulfill business requests, by given deadline. Considers different technical options to ensure an efficient and comprehensive solution. Provides realistic time estimates for task completion.
* Uses programs that may interface with other applications/databases, to meet complex business requirements. Work with a team of medical imaging experts, machine learning experts, software engineers, and medical doctors to address business needs.
* Defines test cases; prepares data and scripts for testing. Executes systems and integration test plans on assigned projects. Provides consultation and guidance to participating members.
* Participates in the implementation of new systems, enhancements and/or upgrades to current systems to ensure smooth migration from development to production environment.
* Produces required functional and technical documentation, related to user requirement (including training material)s, maintenance and support, data and/or coding on assigned projects.

You Have:

* Bachelor's Degree or at least equivalent experience to that of a Bachelor's degree in the absence of a degree required
* Master's Degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related field preferred
* 2-4 years of Information Systems experience required
* Cross-disciplinary and strong analytical skills, algorithm development; application development to integrate developed algorithms; experience in building complex systems, and experience with digital imaging preferred
* Experience in 3D imaging re-construction, visualization and analysis desired
* Experience in Pathology (micro and macroscopic) Imaging or/and Radiology Imaging desired
* Experience in GUI and Data management development. Interacting with APIs desired
* Experience in DBMS (SQL Server, My SQL, C++, and Python) desired
