Job Description

Under the direction of an Application Manager, the Application Analyst performs troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing software applications. They design, build, test, and support new applications and modules within their portfolio and/or service line. The Analyst must achieve in-depth knowledge of the software application and operational workflows, as well as understand the policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operation supported by the application. The Analyst works with business owners, vendors, and ISS team members to evaluate and recommend solutions to complex problems and requests.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of an Application Manager, the Application Analyst performs troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of existing software applications. They design, build, test, and support new applications and modules within their portfolio and/or service line. The Analyst must achieve in-depth knowledge of the software application and operational workflows, as well as understand the policies, procedures and constraints of the clinical or business operation supported by the application. The Analyst works with business owners, vendors, and ISS team members to evaluate and recommend solutions to complex problems and requests.

Applications Supported: Ambulatory, Cadence, Billing, and Reporting

Qualifications

* B.A. / B.S. degree or at least four years of experience
* EpicCare Ambulatory certification (Preferred)
* Knowledge in and/or Certified in Kaleidoscope, Healthy Planet, Cadence applications (Preferred)
* Knowledge in and/or Certified in Reporting applications (Preferred)
* Knowledge of current issues in the healthcare environment preferred
* Prior experience with IT systems and systems development projects
* Initiative and ability to work independently while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork
* Attention to detail that ensures follow through on all initiatives implemented and all projects undertaken
* Effective written & verbal communication skills
* Superior organizational and people management skills
* Strong customer service orientation
* Strong project management skills
* Ability to lead meetings and resolve conflicts
* Ability to research, organize, analyze, and synthesize data to support effective decision making
