Overview

The Analytics Software Engineer will work within LMI's Advanced Analytics service line to design, develop, and maintain infrastructure to support analytics operating environments. This position will work closely with advanced analytics professionals, as well as IT infrastructure, network, and security engineers, and software developers to deliver as-a-service capabilities to data science end users. You'll be a part of a group of talented software and DevOps engineers. Our engineers have experience in systems automation, full-stack software engineering, and data analysis. This team's primary mission is customer success. Its members work with Immuta's software, other cutting edge technologies, and end customers to ensure they derive value from their data.

Responsibilities

As an Analytics Software Engineer, you will work directly with customers to ensure they manage their data through governance tools, including Immuta. This entails building software integrations with customer applications and databases, assisting customers with data analysis, and rapidly developing product add-ons to meet customer needs. Additionally, you will solve complex customer problems when integrating our products into unique customer infrastructures and assisting with customer best practices.

You will also work on-site with our customers and will be responsible for the integration, implementation, and improvement of product deployment and monitoring processes. You'll work closely with our other teams to coordinate the use of DevOps methodologies and develop tools in support of those teams.

We are looking for engineers who

* have a passion for problem solving (especially data problem solving),
* are attentive to detail in implementation of solutions to complex problems, and
* are excellent communicators who can work with customers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

* A current TS/SCI clearance is required.
* Degree (Master's preferred) in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, or other related business or technical discipline is required
* Minimum 3 years' experience in infrastructure engineering
* Experience developing infrastructure architectures for delivering scalable analytics capabilities
* Experience designing and implementing secure distributed systems
* Experience developing systems that interact with external web services and other application programming interfaces (APIs), including Open Database Connectivity (ODBC)
* Experience with databases, including relational and NoSQL
* Experience with Big Data Frameworks, including HDFS and Spark
* Experience with containerization leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, etc.
* Automated systems management expertise, including Puppet, Chef, and Salt
* Software packaging proficiency, including RPM, Debian, Python package managers, and Docker
* Network stack and firewall knowledge
