As a Workday Specialist you will provide world class solutions to our clients while learning the skills needed to become a great consultant. Workday Specialists are aligned to either our Functional or Integrations teams. In this role you will excel as an expert deploying next generation Software as a Service (SaaS)-based solutions in Human Resources, Payroll and Financials. You will advise, implement and integrate these solutions for clients. Alight Solutions is a Workday partner and we are growing the next generation of world class consultants. A typical day can include the following:

Functional:

* Responsible for the deployment of Workday throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design phases through configuration, testing and deployment
* Work with other deployment teams within the organization ensure a fully integrated project is delivered to the client
* Become a hands-on subject matter expert in the Workday project suite
* Work directly with clients to identify and understand business challenges, and deploy/support sustainable Workday Human Capital Management, Payroll and/or Financial solutions
* Implement, integrate and support complex solutions for clients across a wide spectrum of industries, locations and business needs
* Research business challenges and use analytical skills to provide optimal solutions
* Monitor progress of tasks against a project plan and communicate status regarding project issues
* Understand the importance of client satisfaction and use this knowledge to meet client needs in daily interactions
* Establish working relationships and collaborate with others to provide high-quality solutions for clients
* Analyzes and resolves problems as they occur. Performs research into problems, identifying opportunities to correct the situation and seeks opinions and feedback on suggested solutions
* Document Client design requirements Assist with building the Workday solution to meet client requirements
* Participate in system testing accountabilities
* Completes his or her own assignments on time and with quality and suggest opportunities for quality and process improvement
* Represents the organization in a professional manner and demonstrates strong work ethics
* Travel depending on your team alignment can be between 5-30%

Integrations:

* Build and unit test Workday integrations for a variety of functional areas (HCM, payroll, benefits, etc.) using Workday framework technologies based on designs created by Alight Integration Leads
* Work with Integration Leads to ensure that designs are clear and incorporate any changes or updates needed as the build progresses
* Document integration unit testing and ensure that each integration is thoroughly tested prior to being delivered to the client
* Create test data needed for unit testing. In some cases this may require working with the Integration Leads and/or the functional team to generate appropriate data
* Become a hands-on subject matter expert in Workday integration development including technologies such as XSLT, web services, and Workday Studio
* Document progress, escalate issues that arise during build and unit testing, and communicate status to the Integration Leads and the Delivery Center Manager
* Establish working relationships and collaborate with others to provide high-quality solutions for clients
* Analyze and resolve problems as they occur. Perform research into problems, identifying opportunities to correct the situation and seek opinions and feedback on suggested solutions
* Complete assignments on time and with quality and suggest opportunities for quality and process improvement
* Represent the organization in a professional manner and demonstrate a strong work ethics
* Travel to client sites with Integration Senior Leads to assist with the integration requirements gathering process
* Travel requirements will typically be < 10%

* Ability to absorb new technologies and features quickly
* Accept and adapt to change, and understand that change is constant and necessary to consistently excel

Preferred Experience:

* Previous internship experience preferred
* For technical roles only: Familiarity with object oriented programming, API's XML rendering, XLT's, web services
* Experience with MS Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access)

Education:

* Bachelor's degree with a preferred focus in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Finance, Mathematical/Statistics, Human Resources, or related fields
