RealNetworks seeks an Agile Project Manager for Kontxt

RealNetworks' Mobile Messaging team located in Midtown Manhattan is seeking an Agile Project Manager for our innovative new product, Kontxt. Kontxt applies state-of-the-art machine learning capability to deliver a new level of messaging integrity, smart routing, and control for the mobile messaging industry. Kontxt builds on RealNetworks' existing success with the Metcalf Integrated Messaging Suite that powers the world's largest messaging interconnect system and delivers over 2 billion messages each day. RealNetworks Metcalf platform boasts more than 12 years of continuous availability without ever experiencing a service interruption.

This PM will play a critical role in our product team, owning and driving successful project delivery by:

* Collaborating with Product leaders to identify/determine our plan for and implement our transition to an Agile framework;
* Facilitating and driving key Agile rituals across functions (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Retrospectives);
* Communicating project status and risks to internal stakeholders;
* Working towards a continuous improvement culture where identifying gaps, constraints, and bottlenecks and pursuing experiments to address these points becomes part of our way of working;
* Ensuring the timely completion of high quality and thoroughly documented deliverables;
* Supporting product management in grooming and maintaining the product backlog, prioritizing it, and readying it for the next sprint;
* Ensuring priorities are well-understood and the Jira board is scrubbed and up-to-date;
* Maintaining release schedules and liaising between functions to ensure transparent communication;
* Implementing the most appropriate tools and processes for the team to measure and increase performance;
* Maintaining and publishing Agile metrics (e.g. velocity and burn-down); and
* Contributing to managing customer deployment projects.

Success in this role also requires:

* At least 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager managing Agile projects (Scrum, Lean or Kanban)
* Experience leading software development process improvements and/or change initiatives
* The ability to speak the language of our technology product team and be able to understand technical issues at a high level;
* Natural leadership ability to coach and mentor team members while empowering their self-organization and self-management
* Excellent communication skills and ability to confidently work across diverse functions and at all levels of the organization and technical aptitude
* Strong time management skills and sense of timeliness in meeting commitments
* A post-secondary degree in an applicable field

Our ideal candidate will also have expertise in Jira and Confluence, have previous customer-facing experience, and bring previous learnings and best practices to bear.
