What you'll be doing…

The Agile Coach is responsible for both individual and team coaching, as well as contributing to the overall organizational Agile transformation strategy. As an Agile Coach, you will design and implement a strategy for teams to continuously improve their use of Agile principles and practices. Help teams inspect, adapt, deliver and mature. You will leverage your agile/lean mindset and coaching expertise to facilitate the process and partner with internal stakeholders within Tableau's Development organization. Working as a team, they help Tableau's product development organization change its behavior.

You are highly entrepreneurial and can influence executives, leaders, business units, and technology teams on Agile principles, values, how to build, grow, and maintain a thriving agile organization at scale. Using your previous experience as a scrum master, product owner, or agile developer, you will leverage coaching techniques to work with teams, product owners and stakeholders to help make our Agile transformation a reality.  Coaching expertise includes expert listening, powerful questions, and using coaching arcs to move people into the action they choose. You are comfortable facilitating pivotal discussions with groups of a variety of sizes. You thrive on transforming the people side of agile and understand the role of technical practices in a scrum team. You understand Complex Adaptive Systems and non-linear change. You're excited about product management discipline and product ownership. Some of the things you'll be doing include…

* Design and support full Agile transformation roll-outs.
* Deliver hands-on coaching of individual teams in all aspects of scrum and kanban - daily meetings, planning, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, managing flow, limiting wip, etc.
* Define and support enterprise-wide guidelines (e.g., DoD, SM, and PO qualifications and responsibilities).
* Grow culture that uses experiments to learn incrementally and continuously .
* Keep up to date on industry experiments and outcomes .
* Bring in exciting speakers to participate in community of practice .
* Support scrum masters via structured workshops and 1:1 coaching.
* Coach and guide executives, product owners and managers about how to structure the company and practices to reinforce experimentation, decentralization, and data-oriented decision-making.
* Facilitate knowledge development and re-use across the company. Work with others from across the company to define, present, and/or promote enterprise-wide initiatives.

Who you are…

* Agile Coach. 8-10 years of experience of large-scale Agile coaching experience with methods such as Scrum, XP, LeSS, SAFe, Lean, or Kanban. Former experience as Product Owner, Scrum Master, and/or Coach.
* Entrepreneurial.  Knowing how to build and grow a business from scratch is essential.
* Excellent Communicator.  Strong influencing and communications skills at all levels of the organization.
* Experienced. Hands-on experience applying lean/Agile methodologies within product development environments.
* Domain.  Build Measure Learn skills aligned with Agile thinking and organizational transformation.
* Facilitator. Consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in the adoption and improvement of Agile methodologies.
