Deloitte & Touche LLP seeks a Advisory Manager in New York, NY.

Work You'll Do

Construct and assess high-level and detailed security programs translating business needs and regulatory requirements into cost effective and risk appropriate controls. Identify opportunities to improve engagement profitability. Play lead role in engagement planning, economics, and billing and participate in proposal development efforts. Demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends and competitor activities and assist in retention of professionals. Supervise, assign, and review work of subordinate team members to ensure delivery of engagement deliverables in required time and quality. Determine and establish engagement budget and monitor budget versus actual results to direct real time adjustments. Participate and oversee subordinates in the preparation of cyber security project proposals for new clients. Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, internal controls that mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement. Assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods, and tools to support service offerings or industry projects. Use technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design, and/or implement products and services. Understand clients' business environment and basic risk management approaches. Develop information security strategies and plans based upon generally accepted security standards. Utilize knowledge of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls, business and information technology management processes, and market trends on client engagements. Build and nurture strong client relationships.

Requirements

* Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).


* Five years of experience assessing and mitigating implications of cyber security risk on overall business strategy for the Life Sciences and Financial Services industry.


* Experience must include five years of:
* Performing cyber security assurance and maturity assessments in accordance with security regulations;


* Developing recommendations to enhance the cyber security program, including cyber security strategies, roadmaps, and investments;


* Developing recommendations to enhance the cyber security organization, including organizational structures and operating models, roles, and responsibilities;


* Developing and deploying cyber security policies and standards, including integration with IT processes and exception management; and


* Performing Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) assessments, and designing and establishing the BCM/DR program.




* Position requires 80% travel.
