The Adobe Solution Architect is a role within our Digital Architecture team. This role requires a proven track record as a skilled Adobe Solution Architect and specific business application and business stakeholder facing experience. This role oversees the architectural design, capability description and recommended solutions and enhancements within the domain and enterprise architecture landscape. This role

leads high level solution reviews, presents proposed solutions before the appropriate security and risk governance bodies and makes strategic solution architecture recommendations for enhancements or replacement of Marketing Applications that align with the Enterprise Architecture Governance and Risk Board.

 

The Digital Technology Architecture Solution Architect leads and participates in high level conceptual architecture design activities and POCs based on business stakeholder requirements and works closely with the application solution delivery teams and Security and Risk team to ensure that proposed solutions meet NYL architecture best practices and standards. The Solution Architect works with cross-technology technical and business teams. This role collaborates with other Solution/Domain Architects and Project Managers, and advises project teams on technical end-state, estimates and required outcomes in terms of application, infrastructure, data, security, network, etc.

 

Key Responsibilities:

* Transforms requirements into conceptual architecture design documents
* Designs technology solutions and goals for a specific project and/or infrastructural area, in collaboration with Domain Architect and Business Analysts
* Works with and across Domain and Application Architects (including Business, Data, Information and SOA) to ensure that a solution architecture aligns and is consistent with both program/project/system design guidelines and enterprise architecture standards
* Understands and augments the conceptual architecture and design to address integrations being applied across businesses, applications, technologies and services
* Participates as a member of the project team to ensure that the optimal design solution is understood and adopted as part of the intake workflow process
* Provides technical guidance to project teams in their area of expertise and/or leads teams to complete projects specific to their domain
* Generates conceptual/logical architectures, system documents and risk assessments
* Responsible for ensuring the recommended design is followed through to implementation through reviews of high-level and detailed design documentation
* Proposes new technical standards to other Architects throughout NYL Technology
* Participates in the evaluation of new technologies relative to their area
* Participates in business, data, application and infrastructure planning, providing insight into the future of their area of technology
* Participates in the development of roadmaps related to their area(s) of expertise
* Creates project design artifacts to support the implementation of the future architectural vision
* Represents project teams at architecture and security review boards and assists in securing required approvals

 

Education/Training

* Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and/or equivalent work experience
* Advanced degree preferred
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Adobe stack (AEM must)
* Certification(s) in Adobe modules is must
* Certification(s) in Salesforce is a plus
* TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Certification preferred

 

Previous Experience

* 10+ years of relevant experience within described areas of expertise
* Cloud Platform and service integration models
* Data management and data model design experience, including big data architecture
* Background in Agile planning and program delivery

 

Required Skills/Knowledge

* Demonstrates a strong understanding of the current and future technology architecture, including the inter-operability of technologies, within their area of expertise
* Advanced level of expertise in own discipline and knowledge of related disciplines
* Builds expertise in own domain while also developing knowledge of other domains
* Up-to-date knowledge of leading-edge technologies and how it can be applied to own area
* Understanding of architecture documentation methodologies
* Solid understanding of architectural design patterns specifically around integration, mobile, database and solution design
* Proven understanding of SDLC, including Agile and Test-driven methodologies
* Implementation experience of Dev Ops (CI/CD , Jenkins and GIT)
* Basic understanding of messaging infrastructure and service-oriented architecture
* Strong understanding of open source platform and tools that could form building block of solution design
* Good understanding of various cloud offerings – SAAS/ PAAS / IAAS
* Understanding of Internet security and messaging protocols – Oauth, SAML, REST, JSON
* Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders as well as solution developers and architects
* Provides guidance and training to other IT colleagues in their area of expertise
* Interprets business challenges, identifies trends and recommends best practices
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to tailor communication to the target audience to achieve desired results
* Demonstrable experience successfully leading and managing multiple large-scale implementations
* Must have a strong inclination towards and preferable experience with “building” digital solutions from scratch with emphasis of consumer grade UX.

 

Technical Skills – Adobe Platforms – Integration – Cloud

* Strong technical foundation including; Advanced structured programming – e.g. Java, etc., understanding of RDMS concepts and structures, knowledge of SQL, structured system analysis and design methods
* Direct experience with Adobe Experience Platform architecture and strong understanding of MarTech and AdTech platforms
* Experience of Adobe Marketing Cloud products like Dynamic Tag Manager (DTM) / Launch, Audience Manager, Target and Analytics, Adobe Campaign and integrated design solutions
* Specific background in marketing data management (with focus on segmentation, personalization, and lead management), scoring engines, and use cases with AI and MI
* Experience with bi-directional adobe interfaces and standard connectors
* Proven track record of driving innovation and legacy system modernization
