Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Computer Science preferred
* Five years experience working with Oracle Financials supporting the following applications: General Ledger, Cash Managemnet, Account Receivables, Accounts Payables, Purchasing, I expense, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Projects and Treasury
* Functional knowledge of Oracle e-Business suite R12 environment
* Knowledge of the underlying Oracle tables, integration points and business processes are critical for success in this role
* Experience prioritizing competing demands, scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines are necessary skills
* Experience in engaging Oracle Support to research and resolve issues
* Experience with low-level ad-hoc query tools (Toad, SQLPlus) and a working knowledge PL-SQL queries
* Root cause analysis and complex proglem solving skills are important
* Experience analyzing data and translating business requirements into technical specifications

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

* Perform analysis of business requirements to determine appropriate solution approach
* Configure, develop, test and deploy changes and enhancements to existing Oracle Financials modules
* Work with business users to understand business reporting needs, gather and document requirements and functional specifications
* Provide upgrades and enhancements to various Oracle financials modules in the district including (PO, I procurement, I supplier, AP, GL, AR, Treasury, iexpense, Cash Management, Inventory, Order Management, FA, Projects and Grants accounting)
* Analyze and perform tests (work with Q/A team) on all software development life cycle for Oracle applications according to business requirements and prepare solutions to provide end user support
* Maintain and update knowledge on Oracle applications and installations and perform tests on all new releases and patches and assist in recovery of validation processes
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with all managers and end users and provide support to all IT functions on rotational basis to resolve all complex production issues
* Maintain all documentation for change control management and prepare records for software development cycle and prepare solutions for all enhancements
* Interact with business customers to understand and design solutions based on their business processes and requirements
* Perform gap analysis to determine E-Business suite system configuration and development changes
* Design all functional design documents, prepare functional applications and perform tests on all enhancements and ensure resolution for all business systems and analyze all existing system and develop appropriate systems
* Collaborate with project stakeholders/different module users and analyze all products through appropriate methods
* Perform research and evaluate all functions to develop efficient processes and ensure compliance to all standards
* Collaborate with developers and project team and ensure optimal transition of user requirements into functional ones
* Designe prototypes(POC) and prepare reports for all findings and prepare various models and diagrams with possible solution options
* Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned

Salary Minimum: $82,058

Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines. A campus-based employee may not assume a new position for which he/she was selected based upon the posting process until the end of the current semester, unless approved by the chief officer - Human Capital Management.
