Job Description

DivisionDefense - E3/Sentinel's Defense Division supports customers across the Department of Defense, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Department of the Navy, National Guard Bureau, Office of the Inspector General, and Washington Headquarters Services. By providing program assistance and technical innovation to ensure our nation's security, E3/Sentinel employees help our clients navigate through dynamic environments. Our Defense Division offers a variety of career paths, including program management, systems engineering and technical assistance (SETA), financial analysis, operational support, financial analysis, facilities management, and more. Position Overview

We are seeking Administrative Specialists to support the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) in providing a full range of administrative services. The candidate can apply their administrative skills to help solve complex issues and ensure the office workflow continues even during high demand activities. The candidate will direct activities in the office and manage the schedule for the team. In addition, they will perform functions related to calendar management, correspondence and report preparation, management and dissemination, interface with the public, office management, and file maintenance.

Responsibilities

* Provide administrative assistance in support of the mission
* Conduct proper security procedures to ensure office security meets requirements set forth by OSD
* Regulate office standards for records and files management to ensure compliance OSD guidelines
* Work closely with office leadership to keep track of all task and events
* Draft and edit correspondence that, upon approval, are sent to entities such as the OSD Intelligence, the Military Departments, and members of Congress
* Receive incoming inquiries from government officials and direct them to the appropriate personnel
* Processing travel requests, arranging accommodations, and reimbursement of expenses

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree or four (4) years of general experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience performing research and analysis
* Ability to use DoD travel, correspondence, workflow and other administrative tools
* DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

* Four (4) years of direct administrative support experience and a Headquarters or Executive level DoD office, two years of which supporting high level military or civilian official
* Familiarity with DoD organizations and missions
* Superior oral and written communication skills
* Experience with OUSD(A&AS)
* Experience using Defense Travel System (DTS)
* Experience using Correspondence Action Tracking Management System (CATMS)
