Zumper

Zumper was founded by Anthemos Georgiades and Taylor Glass-Moore, both from real estate backgrounds. They teamed up with former Google engineers, Russell Middleton and Leah Jones to build the initial product.

The company officially launched in September 2012 at the annual TechCrunch Disrupt conference in San Francisco, where the team made it to the final round of the Battlefield competition.

Zumper is now the single largest rentals startup in North America, drawing over 8 million monthly visits across its platform. We’ve raised over $21m in funding from prominent venture capital firms, including Kleiner Perkins, Goodwater Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, and Greylock.
